Based in northern Utah, Electric Crabb is what I call my marketing content creation practice.
I have more than two decades of experience in publishing, content creation, communication design, and marketing. I studied design, journalism, and communication arts at Iowa State University, and after receiving my degree in Art & Design, joined Des Moines firm Brooks Borg Skiles Architecture Engineering, where I created marketing and communication products. I then joined consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE:BAH) and spent the next nine years developing e-learning and strategic communication products for corporate and government clients.
For the last decade, my career focus has been exclusively on developing and marketing consumer technology products for manufacturers in the CEDIA channel, including iRule and On Controls (acquired by Kramer), Luxul (acquired by Legrand) and Domotz.
My career focus was born out of a life-long passion for home theater, audio/video, automation, and technology in general. One way I keep my finger on the market is through my Home Theater Enthusiasts group. If you’re on Facebook, join us and check it out.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs once said that the best ideas emerge from the intersection of technology and the humanities. My passion for technology and design—and my career focus—is rooted in the same philosophy.
